The Story Behind The Local Bistro
Chef David Okoro spent a decade cooking in Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe before returning to his hometown to open The Local Bistro. His vision: bring world-class technique to local, seasonal ingredients.
"The best food does not need to travel far," Chef Okoro explains. "We have incredible farmers and producers right here in our region. My job is to let those ingredients shine."
The menu changes with the seasons, built around what local farms are producing that week. The wine list features regional vintners, and the cocktail program highlights locally distilled spirits.
The bistro has become a destination for special occasions and everyday celebrations alike — a place where neighbors gather and visitors get a true taste of the community.
